With 98% of the ballots in the Ukrainian presidential run-off counted, leader of the Regions Party Viktor Yanukovych has received 48.54% of the vote, while his opponent Yulia Tymoshenko had 45.87%, the Ukrainian Central Election Commission (CEC) reports.
A total of 4.39% supported neither of the candidates.
The gap between Yanukovych and Tymoshenko now stands at 2.67%.
A total of 96 ballots (46%) were processed in the foreign electoral district. According to the data from foreign electoral district, Tymoshenko received 59.74%, while Yanukovych had 34.89%. A total of 4.5% voted against both candidates.
Voter turnout was registered at 69.07%
The CEC is now receiving ballot-count documents in electronic form.
