The next phase of the project "Donbass coal on top of the world launched on Friday" under the auspices of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
The V.M. Bazhanova mine group of mountaineers candidates led by Sergei Kovalev, the mine management and the head of the coal industry department of Donetsk regional council administration Anatoly Vovchenko sank into the earth to a depth of more than 1300 meters, to get ther a lump of coal, which in December will be delivered to one of the unnamed peaks in the far Antarctica. On exit from the mine climbers met a group of Bazhanova mine workers. The event was witnessed by the representatives of the print media and the city television: "1 +1", "27 channel", "Horizon" studio.

A second part of the symbolic start of the "Peak Donbass. Antarctica-2010" mission Donetsk miner climbers  took part on  February, 13 at Zuevskaya coal mine climbing wall playground.
There was competition in conditions close to the Antarctic in Zuevskaya coal mine landscape park. Expedition candidate climbers and climbers-beginners had a peculiar race, which became part of the symbolic start of a sports expedition. But this is only the first step in a long and exhausting workouts and charges that will overcome the future conqueror of one of the peaks of Antarctica. After all, this continent is distinguished not only extremely harsh winter climates, but also the characteristics of topography, weather conditions and, of course, mystery.
February 8 Donets climbers received the blessing of priest Hilarion to a good cause.
Recall that Donetsk climbers made took the coal of the Donbass coal mines to the tops of different mountains: Shisha Pangma (8021 m, the Himalayas, 2007), Everest (8848 m, the Himalayas, 2008) "The peak of miners in Ukraine" (5132 m, Tien Shan, 2009).
