Pushkin Boulevard

A long green boulevard in the center of the urban city. Starts from the Regional Council and goes down along 6 long blocks. Each part has different style and pattern. First block is represented by the nice fountain with Mertsalov's Palm - the symbol of Donetsk. Then you can see various modern statues made by local designers. The boulevard is full of trees, flowers, bushes of different forms, lots of benches will comfort your walking breaks. Second block has a monument "Donbass rivers". It is an ancient boat used by Don Cossacks. Kalmius river used to be a border between the territories of Don Cossacks and Zaporizhya Cossacks. Under the boat one can see a real big steam of water. It seems like the boat is moving. Third block is has another pretty fountain and a marvelous children ground. Fourth block is located near the Drama theatre. It consists of the Pushkin Monument (A famous Russian poet) and a small concert area with long benches for the concert visitors. During weekends there are concerts of local groups and groups from another cities. Fifth block has another style. There are plenty of modern figures. The best figures were taken from the annual Donetsk festival and placed in the boulevard. This year one can see a ''steppe'' theme. At the end of this block Shakhtar's football team fan store is located. Sixth block represents various sculptures. Everyday there is an exhibition of art by local painters. One can buy any piece of art he likes. It is possible to bargain because the prices are overestimated.
Pushkin Boulevard is located between Artyoma and Universitetskaya streets and crosses Shevchenko Boulevard, Teatralniy Prospect, Gurova st., Komsomolskiy Prospekt, Sadoviy Prospect.
